Whether fiction or fact, I love working with stories that tell us about our lives and our world.
I began learning my craft at The Women’s Press, back in 1994, where I worked my way up to commissioning editor. I was most recently inhouse as editorial director at Ebury Press, where I commissioned and edited over twenty Sunday Times bestsellers – from the memoir Nurse on Call, which spent five weeks at number one, to books by national treasures such as Pam Ayres, Sue Johnston, Gok Wan and Lynda Bellingham.
Now based in Cumbria, I enjoy the variety of freelance life. I am lucky enough to have a wide range of clients and I am a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. I am also managing editor for independent publisher September Publishing two days a week.
